The Can't

Don't tell yourself you can't. It's that you don't want to. You won't. Because you do not have the will to do it. To have the will you first must have the want.

All those things I said I can't do, I now have the want and therefore, the will to do them.
I said I can't homeschool. I said I can't cut out sugar. I said I can't workout 6 days a week. I said I can't manage this business and a home and a marriage and two kids. I said I can't eat 5 fruits and veggies a day. I said I can't drink shakeology every day. I said I can't read my Bible every day.

I can. I am and I will because I WANT to. And now that I've had a taste I only want it more. I want to be healthier. I want to teach my children more. I want to make better decisions. I want to grow closer to my Lord.

The psalmist David had reason to be depressed and say he can't. But he chose a different path. He chose the path of the "will". The path of God's will. If it is God's will, He will give you the will to do it. Over and over in the Psalms David had the resolve to praise regardless of his circumstances. He chose the will over the why and the can't.

Psalm 63 shows us a man in fear for his life. Instead of saying I can't praise in this storm he said I WILL praise.

Make a choice today not to say I can't. Find that desire. Find the want. Seek God. He will give you the WILL.
